Freeloader Solar Charger
Dont we love talking about the weather and especially if we are in Britain. We would spend every morning talking about when it will be sunny, whether it will be sunny and for how long will it be sunny.
The feeling of bright sunshine is something special and no matter who we are, we all love it. Sun is the source of happiness for all of us and it provides us with that special energy which brings the spark in our lives.
Not only for humans, the sun is the source of energy for some gadgets also, and, one of them is the Freeloader.
The Freeloader measures 12.3 x 6.2 x 1.7cm and weighs in at 185gms.. What the Freeloader does, is, it charges itself up when kept out in the sun and then, it is just like a battery, ready to be used to recharge a mobile phone, PDA or MP3 player.
This means, that while you are busy with your work, you can leave the Freeloader out in the sun, somewhere safe. Once the Freeloader is full of juice its ready for use..
The Freeloader has two solar panels, which are placed face-to-face so that the photovoltaic cells are kept safe. When you have to charge the Freeloader, you just have to pull them off, separate them and then click them back onto the main body, one on either side. When you place the device facing the sun, you will see the two LEDs located on the side turning green, indicating that the Freeloader is feeding on the sunlight.
You need not worry much about the weather though, if you havent seen the sun for the last few days and the forecasts say that its not going to come out for a couple more. Your Freeloader can also be charged from your computers USB port and there is a cable provided for this. There are a number of adapters provided to connect to the variety of mobile phones.
You will find the Freeloader durable, compact in size and stylish in looks, in its aluminium silver finish.
Just charge up the Freeloader by allowing it to soak up some sunshine and then its internal battery will power a mobile phone for up to 44 hours, an iPod (connector sold separately) for up to 18hours, a PDA for up to 22 hours and a PSP for up to 2.5 hours.
Once the Freeloader has run out of juice all you have to do is to allow it to soak some sun rays to power it up again. Remember, you can also charge it via USB of your computer.
